Candidates must have Engineering degree in notified streams as minimum educational qualification.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official website: www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
2. Click on "Officer Entry Application/Login," then click "Registration" (skip this step if already registered on the portal).
3. Fill the online registration form after carefully reading the instructions. Aadhaar number and matriculation certificate details are mandatory for registration.
4. After registering, click "Apply Online" under the Dashboard.
5. On the "Officers Selection – Eligibility" page, click "Apply" against the Short Service Commission Technical Course.
6. Fill in the Application Form across all sections: personal information, communication details, education details, and previous SSB details (if any). Click "Save & Continue" after each section.
7. Review all entries on the "Summary of your information" page.
8. Click "Submit" only after confirming all details are correct.
9. Take two printouts of the application (with roll number) 30 minutes after the final closure of the online application on the last day.
10. Any mismatch between the engineering stream on the degree certificate/marksheet and the stream selected in the online application will result in cancellation of candidature.
11. Any variation in the candidate's name or parents' names between educational documents and the application requires an affidavit explaining the variation.
12. CGPA/Grades must be converted to marks using the formula adopted by the candidate's own university before filling in "Marks obtained in Graduation."
13. Only one online application is allowed per candidate; multiple applications result in cancellation.
14. Candidates already serving in the Armed Forces must inform their Commanding Officer in writing about applying, and their application must be countersigned by the Commanding Officer.
15. Candidates who have ever been debarred by UPSC from any examination are not eligible.
