RRB Technician CEN 02/2026 Recruitment 2026 Notification PDF Out - Apply Online for 6557 Posts

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 02/2026 for recruitment to 6,557 Technician posts, covering Technician Grade-I Signal and 24 categories of Technician Grade-III across various Zonal Railways and Production Units. Online applications open on 30 June 2026 and close on 29 July 2026 (23:59 hrs). Candidates aged 18 to 33 years (Grade-I Signal) or 18 to 30 years (Grade-III) with the prescribed technical qualifications can apply through any official RRB website.

A total of 6557 posts are available for this recruitment.

Candidates must have B.Sc./Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Grade-I Signal); Matriculation + ITI/Apprenticeship (Grade-III) as minimum educational qualification.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official RRB website relevant to your region or the centralised portal at rrb.indianrailways.gov.in.
2. Click on "Create an Account" and enter your name, father's name, mother's name, and date of birth exactly as per your Matriculation certificate.
3. Use DigiLocker or Aadhaar for identity authentication to ensure smoother verification later.
4. Log in and fill the online application form, selecting your preferred RRB and Pay Level (5 or 2).
5. Provide order of preference for posts under the chosen RRB and Pay Level.
6. Capture your live photograph through webcam or mobile camera as instructed (pre-existing photos are not accepted).
7. Upload your signature in JPG/JPEG format (30–49 KB, black ink on white paper, running handwriting).
8. Pay the examination fee online through net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
9. Submit the application and save the registration number for future reference.
10. Entering wrong name/DOB: Details in "Create an Account" cannot be changed later - always match them exactly with your Matriculation certificate.
11. Applying to multiple RRBs for the same Pay Level: This leads to rejection of all applications and debarment from future RRB/RRC exams.
12. Uploading a pre-existing or printed photo: Only live-captured photographs are accepted; printed photo uploads cause summary rejection.
13. Signature in capital/block letters: Signatures must be in cursive running handwriting with black ink - block letters are grounds for rejection.
14. Missing the fee payment deadline: Fee must be paid by 31 July 2026, two days after the application deadline - don't assume submission alone is enough.
15. Ignoring the modification window: Errors (other than account details and chosen RRB) can be corrected only between 1–10 August 2026 by paying ₹250 per modification.
